On May 28th, Romania Canada Business Association (CBEX) and Embassy of Canada to Romania, Bulgaria & Moldova|Ambassade du Canada en Roumanie, Bulgarie & Moldova hosted a mixer where invitees were able to connect and forge new connections, sharing ideas and planning future exchanges over food and drink.

Among the guests in the room were representatives of Romanian youth robotics teams heading to Canada in 2026 for international competition, including Robo-Sapiens from Colegiul Național “Spiru Haret” in Bucharest, and ViCyber #21476 from “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics, also Bucharest-based, competing at the Canadian Rockies Premier Event in Edmonton. They are part of a generation that has just swept all four podium positions at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston, confirming Romania as one of the world’s leading nations in high-school robotics.
